App toys will be put through their paces in a series of Olympic-style challenges in July.
Peter Jenkinson has announced the Appletics - a new summer time event which promises to encapsulate the excitement of the app toys craze and London 2012 fever.
ToyNews columnist Jenkinson says this entirely app-based affair - set to take place on July 6th at Ravensbourne University in Greenwich, London - will be kind of like a Christmas in July for app toys.
He said: “It is going to be a gathering of the best appcessories out there. Pop along and you willl see the cream of AppToys in action, together with a collection of developers and punters in our “Test Bed” area.”
Jenkinson plans to make the Appletics a media event by packing the venue with journalists, suppliers, retailers, toy makers, PR people and kids.
The Appletics will also be streamed live over the internet.
