12 toy properties are considered to be among Britain's top 500 brands.
The Superbrands 2012 list has named Lego as the 31st most powerful consumer brand operating in the UK.
The list is decided by The Centre for Brand Anaylsis (TCBA) and consumers, only the top 500 are considered 'Superbrands' and 12 toy properties have earned that distinction this year.
Hornby was the highest-flying British company, with three of its brands; Hornby, Scalextric and Airfix present in the 500.
Mattel's Fisher-Price came in 37th while Barbie was named as the 333rd best brand in Britain.
Three Hasbro properties were judged to be Superbrands: Monopoly, Play-Doh and MB Games.
This year the TCBA compiled a list of 1,700 consumer brands, drawing on a wide range of sources from sector reports to blogs to public nominations. 40 per cent of the shortlist was eliminated before a sample of more than 2,000 British consumers judged the brands based on the following definition:
“A Superbrand has established the finest reputation in its field. It offers customers significant emotional and/or tangible advantages over its competitors, which customers want and recognise.”
The panel was also asked to judge the brands on their quality, reliability and distinction.
