Warner Bros Consumer Products signs two deals with French manufacturer, Lansay.
Lansay will produce and distribute toys for the new animated series The Looney Tunes Show and family entertainment brand Scooby-Doo. The products will be available in France and Benelux.
Bruno Schwobthaler, SVP, sales & business development, WBCP EMEA, said: “Lansay is a fantastic company with a strong heritage of producing and distributing fun toys that capture children’s imaginations.
"We’re excited to have them on board for The Looney Tunes Show and Scooby-Doo, and know that their passion and market-knowledge will help further bring these iconic properties to life in the hands of children and add great value to our licensing programmes in the important French and Benelux markets."
This month, Lansay will launch a range of seven plush toys based on The Looney Tunes Show, the latest animated incarnation of Looney Tunes that is rolling out across EMEA. Available in two different sizes, the range includes six-inch and 12-inch plush of the key characters including Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tweety and Taz.
Lansay’s product line-up also includes the Scooby-Doo Flashcar R/C, the key features of which include the ability to drive straight, make a U-turn, and light-up wheels when the vehicle is activated to drive.
Stephane Azoulai, Lansay’s VP added: "We are thrilled to continue our adventures with WBCP and the beautiful line up that they have for 2012 and beyond. We’ve been developing Scooby-Doo products for years now with success, and are already having great feedback on the new Looney Tunes toy line from our customers."
