The Moshi Monsters toy line will launch in North America with a special event at Toys R Us Times Square in New York City on Friday August 5th, from 12pm - 3pm.

The full line of products from Spin Master will be available exclusively in the territory at Toys R Us stores nationwide and online at Toysrus.com.

The toy line will feature six plush characters, as well as 32 Moshling mini-figures. Each will include secret codes that can be used to retrieve virtual items for adopted Moshi Monsters, as well as special trial memberships.

The launch event will offer a range of activities including Moshi Monsters characters, Poppet and Katsuma, appearing live; Moshi Monsters themed face painting; Autographs by Mr. Moshi himself (Michael Acton Smith, founder of Mind Candy and creator of Moshi Monsters).

While supplies last, attendees to the event will also receive a complimentary Moshi Code giveaway of a sparkly Liberty trophy, used to decorate a virtual room on MoshiMonsters.com.

Additionally, the first 250 event attendees will have a chance to receive a special copy of the Moshi Monsters Magazine.
