Gadget Show Live: We want more toy exhibitors next year

Organiser of Birmingham NEC event sees toys as a crucial part of the experience.

Following the success enjoyed by firms including Re:creation, VTech and Flying Toys this year, the organiser of The Gadget Show Live Professional is aiming to tempt even more toy companies onto the show floor in 2012.

The event's first ever trade-only day attracted 4,735 trade and press from the UK and Europe, with an additional 104,579 consumers visiting the NEC, Birmingham – a 50 per cent increase on last year’s show.

Marketing manager for The Gadget Show Live Professional, Helen Marriot, told ToyNews: “It would be great to see more quality toy manufacturers here next year. With all the expensive high end tech on show, there needs to be affordable gadgets consumers can take home and the toys are perfect for this.”

LeapFrog, VTech, Re:creation, Innovation First and Flying Toys all made the trip to Birmingham's NEC to exhibit their technological toys.
