Impact International has signed up as a plush licensee with Sony's PlayStation IP programme.
The announcement comes as Target revealed its first group of licensees for its PlayStation IP programme.
Impact will produce plush and accessories based on LittleBigPlanet in the UK, Eire and the Middle East. The deal will see the toy company produce a range of plush items, bean toys, mugs, bobbleheads and bags, all featuring LittleBigPlanet’s iconic character Sackboy.
Brazier and Co have signed up to produce a range of PVC figurines for LittleBigPlanet, including a limited edition themed Sackboy.
In addition, poster company GB Eye Limited will develop a range of posters, 3D posters, postcard packs, badges and stickers for LittleBigPlanet, God of War, InFamous, MotorStorm, WipeOut, Killzone and Resistance. The deal covers the UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, France and Italy.
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) appointed Target as the consumer product licensing agent for PlayStation software IPs in April 2009.
Helen Howells, global brand director at Target Entertainment Group said: "I’m delighted to announce these deals which mark the beginning of an extensive licensing programme for PlayStation software IPs, across a number of titles. First phase products for LittleBigPlanet are planned to hit stores in October this year."
