Character, Mookie, Halsall and MV Sports are all in for a chance of winning an accolade.
The eagerly awaited finalists for the Licensing Awards have been announced. Over 4,500 products were entered and a wealth of nominations for the retail and property categories were submitted to arrive at a strong line-up of finalists.
The awards, now in their fourth year, are owned and organised by The Licensing Source Book, part of Max Publishing.
The award for the best licensed toy or games range will be battled for by the ubiquitous Ben 10, newcomer to the toy industry, HM Armed Forces, girls favourite Peppa Pig, TV show, The X Factor and The Dangerous Book for Boys.
This year, for the first time, Brand Licensing Europe is headline sponsor of the awards, while industry trade association, LIMA UK has reinforced its commitment as an official supporter of the awards and The Light Fund will be the charity beneficiary.
The winners of all the categories will be announced at a ceremony on Thursday 10th September 2009 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London. (Tickets are available from www.thelicensingawards.co.uk).
Ian Hyder, publishing director of The Licensing Source Book Europe, commented: "Every aspect of the licensing industry has done itself proud with a fantastic level of response to entering and nominating. The finalists reflect the vibrancy of our industry.
“The countdown now begins for this year’s awards ceremony when the winners of all the Licensing Awards 2009 categories will be unveiled."
