Rainbow SpA has secured a 3D figurine deal for its boy’s property Huntik with Panini.
The agreement covers the UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus and Turkey. The UK TV and merchandise rights are held by Big Bocca Productions, while the rest lie with Rainbow.
The first Huntik series of 26 half hours is currently airing in over 30 countries. Following a strong start for the brand, a second season of 26 new half hours was launched at Mip TV and will be available in 2010.
The launch of the Panini product range will be coordinated with the broadcast of the series in each territory. Panini will also be supporting its line with an extensive advertising campaign.
The company already distributes Huntik sticker albums in Europe and has expanded its deal to include 3D flow pack figurines and comic books.
