Confectionery specialist Sweet Cred is moving into the toy market with a new dedicated division.
Sweet Cred supplies sweets in the UK and over 30 other countries worldwide. After constantly being asked by major retail buyers to source and supply non-candy toy products they have taken the decision to launch a new division concentrating on supplying toys and games.
The firm has appointed Dave Norton to head up the division, with the task of building the range, marketing the Sweet Cred brand into the toy arena and consulting with buying professionals.
"I will of course be putting the ranges together myself and with the aid of our in-house design team and Far East office,” said Norton. “But by consulting with buyers as much as possible, we can build a brand that has a real impact on the toy market and the consumer offer."
