The firm continues to trade, but administrator Elwell Watchorn and Saxton was appointed on Friday after it succumbed to a number of different factors including the current economic climate and pressure from its lenders.

Toyway has been trading since 1981 with a range of pocket money toys, models, and construction kits. Brands include Academy plastic kits, Yat Ming Die-cast vehicles, Gunther flying toys and Artesinia wooden boat kits.
