Hawkin’s Bazaar grabs Letterbox

Toys catalogue Letterbox is now part of the Hawkin’s Bazaar stable.

Hawkin’s, a cataloguer/retailer of toys and novelties, plans to relaunch the Letterbox website and produce a new print catalogue in time for the autumn and Christmas season.

The news follows an earlier announcement from Letterbox’s previous owner, Findel, that it would be closing both Letterbox and furniture title Cotswold Company.

In a statement to customers on its website, Hawkin’s Bazaar said: “With over 35 years of experience of mail order and retail we are ideally placed to restore Letterbox to its former glory and to bring you the range that you know and love, along with unrivalled customer service.

“We’re even working with one of its original founders to inspire a Letterbox collection that will appeal to all of our previous customers (along with new converts). We appreciate that some of you may have had a less than perfect experience with Letterbox last Christmas but we are in a position to assure you, that will all be in the past and we’re working hard to make this Christmas the best ever.”
