Nick Mather is leaving after four years as head of the iconic retailer.
Mather told ToyNews that he felt it was time to move on.
“It has been a thoroughly enjoyable time. I have achieved what I set out to in turning the business around and laying the platform for future growth, especially online and overseas.
“There is a great team of people here and it will be sad to leave them, but such is life.”
Mather is currently in the process of handing over the reigns to Guojon Reynisson, who joins from a specialist group of convenience stores in Iceland, which is also owned by the Baugur Group.
Mather said the handover will be completed in the next couple of weeks.
