New Exeter store set to employ at least 100 people.
Toys R Us is expected to open in Exeter by Christmas 2009, after being granted development permission by the city’s council.
The move comes more than 12 months after developer Citygrove submitted the planning application on behalf of the retailer.
The 3,207 sq m store will be based on the Bishops Court Industrial Estate in Sowton.
As part of the 106 planning agreement, the retailer will improve access to the store after concerns were raised about possible road congestion near the M5.
