Duracell is hoping to increase sales in toy stores over the Easter period with a 50 per cent free promotion.
Consumers will receive 50 per cent free when purchasing special packs of Duracell Plus and Duracell Ultra M3. The firm claims such offers are extremely popular with consumers, free cell activity during Christmas 2006 driving sales up by 69 per cent.
Retailers are encouraged to stock up on the special promotional packs as a TV advertising campaign, featuring the Mountain Bunny, is expected to drive consumers into stores.
A spokeman for the firm offered: “The special packs will be available across all retail channels, offering a great deal for consumers, and are expected to drive strong sales this Easter, as consumers stock up on batteries to power their gadgets and toys ahead of the holiday season.
“Duracell has long been established as a market leader and with regular promotions such as 50 per cent extra free, retailers are being offered plenty of opportunities to boost sales and ensure that Duracell remains the UK’s number one choice in the battery category.”
