Leapfrog paraded its new range of learning toys yesterday, including big hopes Tag and Leapster 2.
The firm held a presentation to trade and parenting press in London yesterday outlining its new online Learning Path concept which allows parents to monitor how their children learn through Leapfrog products online.
The new Tag electronic learning system and the Leapster 2 were at the forefront. Also demonstrated were its pre-school electronic games including Fix the Mix, Match Up, Letter Crazy, a revamped Fridge Phonics and Fridge Words.
Research from the firm outlined a number of findings about the way children learn with education toys and other products and about parents' concerns with their child's learning.
According to the Learning Path survey:
94% of parents would like to know more about what their children are learning
92% feel their child will benefit from early internet/IT skills when they go to school/pre-school.
72% of parents agreed that their child's favourite character can assist with learning.
