Our client is a long established privately owned Spanish manufacturer of toys and games. The company has developed many toys as a licensee of leading character brands, and also has several ranges of its own brands in the categories of feature plush, nurturing dolls, pet dolls and board games. The company has sales subsidiaries in several European countries and a network of exclusive distributors in over 40 other countries. The UK subsidiary was set up twelve years ago and is well established as an important supplier to the UK toy distribution and there is considerable scope for further expansion. A new Sales Director is to be recruited to drive continued growth.
Suitable candidates will have a track record of several years of success in selling to national accounts in the UK as a Sales Manager, General Sales Manager or National Account Manager and will have good professional relationships with most national accounts. The Sales Director will be responsible for developing key growth strategies and action plans, delivering annual targets, building customer relationships and understanding consumer trends. He or she will be reporting to the newly appointed Managing Director and will supervise a team of several KAMs, reps and sales administration.
The head office is located in northern England and and the Sales Director will have to commute to the office whenever needed. Salary will be competitive.
