HIT is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Licensing Manager – Hard Lines.
Candidate needs to have at least 2 years marketing experience ideally in the entertainment or Responsibility for the development and implementation of the UK and European Hard Lines strategy achieving key brand, category and fiscal objectives by identifying and working with Global, Multi Territory and Local licensees . Requirement to work in tandem across the business with Brand/Soft lines/Retail/Product Development teams as well as the audit and finance divisions.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Direct responsibility for achievement of UK and EMEA category fiscal targets.
Development and implementation of local, multi-territory, global hard lines strategy.
Implementation of local licensee hard lines strategy.
Liaising with internal hard lines licensing team members and external new and existing partners.
Managing sub category product development with the creative/PD team
Working with the PD team and the licensees to execute key product development across sub categories in all brands,
Working with the Mattel subsidiary offices to jointly plan the business and execute against that plan to maximize the business
Shared and agreed strategies for the local markets on relevant brands i.e. Thomas and Mike
Sensitive management of the Mattel relationship will be required to achieve consensus on commercial and product development strategy.
SKILLS:
Ability to manage and influence others.
Good presentation skills
Ability to present to and motivate companies from designer to MD.
Experience of the Licensed Industry would be of benefit
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 6 years toy development experience or toy industry or other major CP business.
Degree trained in business studies, marketing or a related field.
