Maidenhead

If you’ve a passion for product development, a talent for project management and a soft spot for toys, this is your opportunity to make your mark on the world’s number one toy company.

About the role

Reporting to the European Design Manager, you’ll facilitate the development of Mattel’s licensed products for retailers across the Europe, Middle East & Africa. It’s all about streamlining the approvals and product development process in support of our growth plans for the region. That means overseeing the approval process at every stage, making sure all artwork and content is on brand and our licensees’ ambitious development schedules are met. It also means improving communication and collaboration between creative and business teams; bridging the gap between them as well as establishing systems and processes for better alignment between countries. Successfully pulling people and resources together, you’ll not only keep creative operations on track from end to end, you’ll help to deliver to expectations and meet challenging company objectives.

About you
You’ll ideally come to us with a management based degree and experience in a similar role, either with a licensor, in production or working in retail on similar product ranges. And you’ll certainly have a flair for product management and development. Commercially astute, organised and ambitious, you’ll have no problem managing multiple projects. While strong communication skills mean you’ll work well with colleagues at all levels of the business. Skills in MS Office through to Photoshop and Illustrator are advantageous, and knowledge of online approvals systems is a definite plus. Bring all of this and you can look forward to an exciting future with a company that offers excellent prospects both here in the UK and overseas.

About us
Mattel is the world number one toy company with over 20 of the hottest brands in the market, from Barbie and Fisher-Price to Hot Wheels and Scrabble, plus licences including WWE, Thomas the Tank Engine and Toy Story 3. We continually strive to create an environment that fosters creativity and talent, enabling our people to bring to market some of the most popular and well-known brands in the toy industry.

About the rewards
Join us and you can look forward to much more than a competitive salary and a great rewards package that includes a company pension and private healthcare. We’re a company driven by fresh ideas and insights, with a passion for play and a desire to grow fairly and together. As a result, we can deliver bigger opportunities as well as the biggest brands.
