KEY RESPONSIBILIES
The Product Development Executive will work within the Licensing team on the development of licensed product ranges across a variety of categories. Brands currently include Fifi and the Flowertots, Roary the Racing Car, Little Charley Bear and Rah Rah the Noisy Lion.Specific responsibility for International PD and some UK PD (categories TBC dependant on experience). Build and maintain proficient & pro-active relationships with the licensees to provide a quality design service, ensuring a high degree of design innovation, competitive analysis and creative direction across the licensed ranges.Management of the approvals processfor all licensed products within the above mentioned categories.Ensure that all product follows the generic design requirements of the relevant brand and that the necessary labelling and brand protection requirements are featured on all product and packaging.To be a source of schedule information on all licensed projects, reporting any amendments to relevant internal parties.Attendance at relevant internal partner meetings, external licensee meetings and UK trade fairs.Manage the contact with the clients & agents in a professional manner. Support further development of the brands through analysis of competitor activity.General support the Licensing team as and when required.Some flexible working hours will be required.
CANDIDATE CRITERIA
Educated to at least A-level standard and with a minimum of 12 months creative, licensing or retail experienceIT skills: MS Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook – essential Illustrator - essentialPhotoshop - essentialPrevious experience within a Licensing, Retail or Product Development role highly beneficial.Superior communication and negotiating skills, self starter, organised, diplomatic, confident, team player, strong communication skills and professional.
