The October Shanghai continues to grow and showcases the best of Chinese toy manufacturing, incorporating factory visits for those who want a close-up perspective….
Shanghai’s China Toy Expo is now jointly organised by Goalmark International and the China Toy Association. Spielwarenmesse ended its involvement in the show earlier this year.
The show is the manufacturer’s showcase and can also help organise factory visits and meetings.
It boasted more than 21,000 square meters of exhibition space in 2007, making it the largest international toy trade show in mainland China.
Exhibitor numbers went up last year from 370 in 2006 to 462. Visitor attendance also went up from 18,800 the year before to 25,350 – an increase of 35 per cent.
Last year’s show included stands from manufacturers from a number of toy production regions such as Chenghai, Jiangsu, Yunhe, Wenzhou and Pinghu.
Events at the show include a free conference on the product trends and the Chinese market; a factory tour day on Thursday October 10th and the China Toy Conference, a bi-annual event
open to the toy industry executives in China, including manufacturers, retailers, distributors and testing laboratories.
Keynote speakers from both China and abroad are invited to deliver speeches on the latest developments in IPR protection, brand building and market strategy.
The China Toy Design Competition is designed to encourage the innovative design of toys and create a forum for toy designers. The competition is targeted to advocate the design of environmentally effective, safe and educational toys.
