The Toymaster show is the biggest and therefore most important show of the year for Hasbro. The firm has supported the show for many years and makes every effort to try and take as much of Toy Fair and ‘new news’ to the event as possible.
Orders taken at the show are significant for both members and now non-members too, while the show gives the Orders Direct @ Hasbro team important face-to-face time with its customers.
All the key Hasbro brands will be on display this year including Transformers, My Little Pony, Monopoly, Playskool and Nerf – but the firm says it will also have a surprise or two in store. For the first time in 2012 Hasbro will have a brand publishing and licensing area, which will highlight the licensees’ (some of which will be exhibiting at the Toymaster show) products that are available to sit on shelf next to the toy and game range.

Tomy’s key 2012 line, Raa Raa the Noisy Lion, includes interactive play-sets and vehicles, plush, feature plush, bath toys and figures.
The Chuggington Wooden Range of collectable vehicles and play-sets will be on show. Tomy is kick-starting the collection with 16 chunky, colourful collectable character engines and the Beginner’s Set. Hero items include the Double Decker Roundhouse and the Over & Under Start Set.
Britains will be showcasing the new 1:32 scale models. The highly detailed Kane 16 Tonne Silage and Grain Trailers each feature tipping function, opening rear door and rear wheel steering. Britains Farm Toys collection also includes the Massey Ferguson 6480 and the new John Deere 7280R tractor.
The Heritage and Collectibles arm of the Britains range, meanwhile, is headed up by the new 4WD John Deere 9460R Tractor, while the refreshed Land Rover Series 1 model features fabric style removable roof.
Finally, the Britains Big Farm pre-school range sees the introduction of two new sets and trailers with an equestrian theme.

Tech Deck has introduced sticky trick tape to make it easier to learn new stunts.
This year Spin Master ventures into games with distribution rights to Hedbanz; the game of ‘Who am I?’ is available from August.
Also new for autumn is Dr Dreadful. Each lab allows kids to create edible concoctions then savour every squiggly slurp. Elsewhere there will be new disc firing Baku Blasters, transforming Battle Suits and the spinning, firing Dragonoid Destroyer added to the Bakugan range.
Meanwhile, Air Hogs has new innovations including the Hover Assault; a combination of flight and ground remote control. The Zoobles family is set to expand in autumn, with a new world based on the princess theme. The new range of fashion doll and role-play items from Nickelodeon’s show Victorious will also be available.

The highlight of Bandai’s stand will be the Ben 10 Omniverse product. The product line-up includes new 10cm figures, 15cm sound figures, Rook’s Truck, Mini Play-sets and the Plumber Base Play-set.
It will be the first time customers will see the new Omniverse FSDU display, which is included in a show deal. Also as a Toymaster Show exclusive, if members order the Omniverse deal during the show, they will be entered in a prize draw to win a Ben 10 Omniverse character visit.
New Power Rangers Super Samurai toys are introduced to coincide with the new TV series on Nickelodeon.
Completing the boys’ offering will be ThunderCats and refreshed figure collections for Pokémon Black & White.
New Harumika lines include the Pop Diva set, as well as the refreshed Style Studio storage case, now available in pink. Both items are included on the new Harumika FSDU and form part of a show offer including free accessory sets. For those looking for craft ideas, Badge It! remains popular and is featured in the Toymaster catalogue.

Celebrating its 25th Anniversary in 2012, Sylvanian Families has new additions. Autumn will see the launch of the Sylvanian Families Log Cabin. This theme is complemented with the Campervan and the Ice-Cream.
Boys collectable, Monsuno, is a complete entertainment franchise with an animated series. Developed by Jakks Pacific, Monsuno features collectable, battling Cores with a gameplay that is fully integrated with the Trading Cards. There is also a full range of role-play, play-sets and battle arenas available from launch.
Launching in August is Micro Chargers, the boy’s vehicle brand that races at lightening speed, at the most micro scale. Bringing micro technology to the vehicle category, the new brand can race at scales speeds of over 600mph. Charge them up in seconds, hit the tracks and get racing. There are a variety of different track sets.
Meanwhile, the Trash Pack, or Trashies, are squidgy collectable characters from the bottom of bins, and are available in many shapes, colours and styles.
Trashies are proving a massive hit with UK retailers. Series two will launch this autumn with the new rare Mouldy Trash and ultra rare Astro Space Trashies.

The Hobbit toy and games line will launch in Europe in Q4 - action figures, mini collectables, play-sets, vehicles, role-play sets and games will be available in October.

Vivid’s Moshi Monsters line plans to double in size in 2012 to £60million UK/Ireland retail sales and will introduce over 30 new products, of which four will be TV advertised in autumn. Super Moshi HQ, Moshi House Play-set and Moshi App Monsters will be key TV drivers.

Each building uses the latest 3D puzzle technology, with hinged plastic pieces and no glue required. The firm’s new character-based games have simple-to-play concepts and retail at less than £10.
Also launching is the new watercolour painting product – Aquarelle. The system combines creativity with ease of use and proves anyone can paint. There are also new Mandala-Designer ranges, including Minnie Mouse and Me to You for autumn/winter.

Interplay is offering exclusive deals to members across its lines.
Girls’ craft range myStyle has doubled in size since launch in 2011 and now offers a variety of price points. The new Designer Jewellery Kit features brightly coloured polymer clay that can be moulded into the latest styles.

Orchard Toys’ stand at Toymaster is small compared its one at the Toy Fair, but, the firm still manages to represent its range.
Each year the company aims to launch a new product to Toymaster members at the show, and 2012 is no exception. First to be released in the Star Wars Pump and Play inflatable range is R2-D2. Further characters will follow, including Darth Vader, Stormtrooper and Yoda. The Star Wars Pump and Play range features an inflatable, durable body shell standing over 65cm in height. A child-friendly handset controls R2-D2, allowing the droid to move forward, back, left and right and perform stunts.
The package comes with pump, handset, R/C drive unit and inflatable shell, which is interchangeable with the whole range.
Bladez has developed a new rotor structure set, which allows the G-Bladez Gyro helicopters to fly upside-down and with a flick of a switch, reverse the rotors and fly the right way up.
The G-Bladez Gyro helicopter range also includes helicopters with video camera equipment.
The G-Bladez Winch helicopter can be flown in all directions powered by the gyro, however attached to the bottom of the helicopter is an R/C electric winch, which can carry up to 10g.

The Hexbug Larva is a micro robotic creature that slithers forward using a flexing motion, changing direction upon sensing an object.
